About LIDI & PAUL

LIDI & PAUL is a uniquely modern café situated at the base of Mount Geumjeong. It offers a stunning view of the mountain, enveloping customers in what feels like a forest retreat. My father-in-law, the architect and owner of the café, brought me on board as a designer at the inception of this project. I contributed to various aspects, including the creation of the logo and a wall sign, as well as designing a range of printed assets such as coffee cups, menus, business cards, and takeaway packaging. Additionally, I played a key role in the interior design, where I proposed the concept design that defines the café’s ambiance.

Designing a brand identity

The contemporary logotype mirrors the modern and sophisticated interior design of the café. The logo features a house-shaped structure, symbolizing the unique architectural style of the café. Olive green serves as the primary color, complemented by secondary colors of champagne gold and scarlet. This color palette reflects the café's elegant ambiance. Additionally, the graphic pattern used across the printed assets is derived from the house-shaped structure in the logo, reinforcing the thematic consistency of the branding.
